PROJECT: For this project , you will play the role of a consultant who has been commissioned to develop a record keeping system for a local college. This system will maintain some of the most basic activities of the college that will include support of student records, course records, and specific class offerings as well as student course records, which will track which students are in each offering of a specific class.

HOMEWORK QUESTIONS

You are required to develop an entity – relationship model as well as (code-level) object definitions for your objects that will exist in your course project as defined in your project specification.

Feel free to include additional entities or relationships that may fit your vision of how the project should work. (Note: you are not obligated to implement any relationships in your final application outside of the original specification)

Your project deliverables should include the following:

• A single Entity – Relationship diagram addressing all major entities (objects: students, faculty, student records, course records and course offerings)
• The Entity-Relationship diagram should also include all relationships, as well as identify all cardinality between all associated entities.
• Provide working source code demo of your database interface (either application or using a web-based application) in which data is both written to and read from your database via your chosen application language. Minimally demonstrate the connection of your database driver, thus showing that you are able to connect to and read/write from your database through your chosen application language (eg. Java).
