Educators need to have awareness of ethical practice in the context of the work role. The following are ethical issues. Explain what you would do if they occurred in your workplace. a.    You overhear a staff member verbally abusing a child. b.    Two staff members are gossiping about the behaviour of a child. They are laughing about the behaviour. One of the staff members has no responsibility for treatment of the child. They are experienced staff members who should know that it is inappropriate behaviour. c.    You have noticed that a child has not eaten lunch for the last two weeks. You ask the child why and are told due to religious taboos they are not allowed to eat the food. You talk to the kitchen staff and they say it is too bad, the child has to eat the food that is on the menu. (This is Early Childhood education )
